When Absent

Please remember to call Amanda Carper AS SOON AS YOU KNOW AS YOU KNOW YOU WILL BE ABSENT. Amanda has to know who is there each week, so even if you KNOW you don't need a substitute, call her anyway! Also be sure to call the lead teacher in the classes you will be missing and let them know as well. Amanda leaves her house at 10:00am on Tuesday mornings, so if you need to call her after 10:00am on Tuesday, please call her cell phone at: 417-379-4752.

Internet Issues

Every Tuesday afternoon we are causing the church internet network to crash due to the number of people trying to connect. If you are using your smart phone, ipad, itouch, etc to check email, look at facebook, etc please do so using your own data plan and not the church's wifi. Let's leave the wifi available for those who are using the internet for LCA purposes. We cannot guarantee internet access each week. If you are trying to teach using internet connection please have a Plan B in case the network crashes.

Create a forum topic, not a blog post, for items

Please create a "forum topic" each time a news item is presented, or a for-sale item is wanted or for sale. We have seen a high number of "blog posts" created lately. Our intent is that news is caught by each person visiting the web site, even after a couple of days. Usually, by that time, blog data has scrolled off the home page.

Also, please move any content from your blog to a forum topic that you want an improved response.

Field Trip Guideline

If you are planning a field trip, please find out what classes your students will be missing and talk to those teachers so that they are aware that students will be absent from their classes.
