AMERICAN GOVERNMENT
Teacher: LeeAnn Smith
Grades 10-12
Cost: $40??
Will there be homework? Yes

From Notgrass at http://www.notgrass.com/american-government-high-school-curriculum.php. This course was offered 2 years ago so there may be some people in the co-op that would like to sell their texts. Julie White told me that the second, source book was not required previously but would have been extremely helpful. I heavily encourage you to buy it for your student unless you have a very good library of source materials. We will be using them, but you could probably share with another student if you can trade it back and forth easily.

My bias: I believe the Constitution was a divinely inspired document and must be understood to make the best decisions we can today. I also believe that understanding it is doable. I love this stuff and want to help your students enjoy it too. I had a high-school course in the Constitution that was dryer than old bones but thankfully had college professors and a father that changed my opinion. I hope to do that for the students. I am also indebted to Julie White for graciously allowing me to use her outlines for the class!
