Dear Friends,

Just after the beginning of 2009, I began contemplating the state of our country: financially, socially, and spiritually. Often, I would awake from sleep thinking about the direction our nation is headed wondering whether or not it would be possible to slow the fall and change our course. What a huge task: one that I cannot let pass by without giving the best try I can muster! Based on feedback received from meetings and other contacts, I have decided to declare my candidacy to run for Missouri’s 7th Congressional seat!

Even with all of her problems, the United States of America is a great nation… “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” As U.S. citizens we have been privileged with limitless opportunities. Along with these opportunities come responsibilities. I believe that our nation’s course can be changed… for the good. We must do all we can to bring America back to following the U.S. Constitution.

Winning this campaign will require great effort. For some it may mean sacrifice. The founders of our nation were willing to give their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. Should not we be willing to do the same? We have approximately 11 months to work before the August 2010 primary election. Please don’t be scared by the enormity of this task. Remember: the best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. Will you work with me to win this election? Together we can WIN!
